Author Reading and Book Signing with Don House

Photographer and writer Don House will read from his new book Letters to Dan: A Philosophical Guide to the Ozarks. In personal essays and photographs, House takes his readers rivers and hills, forests and vibrant wildflowers of the Ozark. He describes old cemeteries, abandoned buildings, and highway memorial crosses. House introduces us to a neighbor skilled at water dowsing, to local cafe owners, and to river guides. His essays express a love of the region’s heritage and its modern culture. The book creates a sense of place and shows us how to live in harmony in the natural world. Copies of the book will be for sale, and the author will sign his books after the reading.
